ESPN's Boston Sports Guy made his broadcasting debut tonight on ESPNU when he served as color commentator for the matchup between University of San Francisco and Pepperdine. I had planned on breaking down his performance; but unfortunately my body had other ideas, and I fell asleep within 15 minutes of the tipoff. I can't totally blame Simmons for my slumber, although his nasal monotone delivery certainly didn't help matters. Sleep deprivation and a few porters were bad pregame preparation on my behalf.
